HoMe DeCoR 4 Ep11:ShAnGhAi ChiC 新上海风

This is the prelude to the end of this season 4 of home decor..and this episode, were tasked to present Shanghai Chic.

Koh and Ivy’s living room is really huge and frankly, six thousand ain’t exactly gonna fill up this living room. But fortunately, Just Anthony, the shop dealing with all the china furnitures ie really kind to us and i got to choose some wonderful wooden panellings to complete my design for Shanghai chic..

As the name suggests, chic=fashionable and thus, my approach is to give all the olden chinese furnitures a new lease of live and making it in white to make it appear current..which actually, in shanghai, you seee alot of this approach in terms of design:)

    Hi Bryan,

My family (ie.my mum) and I loves your home decor program so much and we are always talking about participating in this competition. Hence, I really hope we can be chosen in your upcoming program before 17 May, my mum’s 64 birthday. When we first move in years ago, we had very limited budget and hence our decor/furnishings are to the most basic. Even so,we adore beautiful the home decor we see in your program and hope to be given the chance to participate one day.

If you see this comment, hope you can keep my email and put us in the queue.

ps: ‘Your concept of separating the dining area from the living is very unique & attractive for this Shanghai Chic episode.’

    Best Rgds,
    Zen

so clever of u to have thought of hanging the wooden panels in this manner! (which wouldn’t leave any unsightly marks behind just in case u didn’t win)

pity the other family who has to deal with the ??? on their wall… :P

    Dear Bryan
Really love this episode. I think to have grasped the essence of Shanghai Chic very well! The white painted wooden paneling really make a difference to the whole house! They are awesome ! Love the colour contrasts of red, white & grey ! The red added interests and highlights to the whole living space. Serene, if you missed any episode, u can search in U-tube, I’m sure there will be postings up by others. That’s how I catch up with any missing episode.
    Cheers
    Diana
