Home Decor 3 Epi 1 ” Futuristic Chic”
Yes Yes..the show is back!
Unbelievable but true! we are back for the third season.With a total of 27 episodes already under our belt, we took on the challenge to yet again do a make over for 16 homes each. Debuting tonight at 8pm on channel 8, our first topic ” Futuristic Chic” and here’s my contribution.
Entrance to home before transformation
After a dash of colours and thoughts…
Longish living room with white walls..however, the owners liked the grey colour Galaxy and so…
As the topic of the day is futuristic chic, we choose the red colour for its sleek lines..
and created this cosy corner to relax….
the isometric drawings are done by me.. symbolizing the futuristic side with isometrical figures…
Though the results are such a way that our team lost ,we had a good time with the contestant as the family are really great… Till the next episode that deals with ethnic fusion…so long..15 more epi to go…

Have seen the first episode of this Home Decor 3 today, you missed the $650 futuristic longish silver coloured standing clock. I thought i agree with you, its quite futuristic and already you have a painting done on the wall, with this baby, it will help to add some futuristic element to the whole environment.

Bryan, I SUPER LOVE your home decor design!!!! You are getting more and more professional! Oop! forgotten! You are already a interior designer and own a company.
I took the interior design course few years back at Paradiz Centre and learnt the basic.
You REALLY a professional!
Keep it UP UP UP! I SUPPORT YOU! (from professional view through my knowledge also as your fan!)
However I have an advice. I know why Mark won this round, his design is not from started from a professional view but from the view of what family wants from a home, he created a common ground to win the votes because everyone stay in a house you see. Your design is very “show room” and “professional”. I REALLY LIKE IT! but judges may feel too professional already. Your losing votes may be also your design too perfect in judges eyes and they may feel your design is cold and commercial.
Of course, you are a very skillful designer. Mark’s one is a lay-person design.

btw, if this is an international contest, YOU SURE WIN! but a bit sad it is a program to win judges’ votes and for tv entertainment purpose.
I suggest you can keep your fun fun fun design and decor ideas and also create entertainment value in decor.
That’s why sometimes we know too much in a trade also not really helpful, we tend to be perfect and follow the book. Unlike Mark, he aga aga one and hit the jackpot!

oh woah! i love those drawings!! i like to watch Home Decor cos i like the way you design the homes.. looking at you doing those awesome makeovers (it’s really a wonder to me how you manage to handle many different design themes so brilliantly) to the apartments gives me the urge to give my bedroom a new look too haha.

i don’t usually leave comments but after seeing you get that infra-red thing for the perfect placement of the mirror (i think you bought it?) i was seriously surprised. this shows amazing dedication to your job, which many current actors/actresses lack today. the designs you drew on the wall didn’t really appeal to me much, it was too cheesy(for lack of a better word) It was kind of like drawing that to suit the theme, not to beautify the place. Other than that, everything was amazing! Keep up the good work, i love Bai Jia Le!

I liked the Isometric Drawings you’ve drawn! Reminded me of those D&T lessons which are SOOooOOooo long ago.
Seriously, when my mum and I were watching this episode yesterday night. We both preferred your design than the other group. Your design is more comfy as compared to the other group’s choice of lighting. In particular, personally I do not like any green lightings, cause they look kind of eerie to me. Just a simple note to share with you.
Anyway, it seems to me the 2 new judges are kind of different, I meant their ‘taste’.
Nevertheless, My mum and I have always trusted in your ‘themes’ of designs and your choice of furniture.
What is preferred by a one may not be liked by others. We can’t please anyone, but we can do ur best!
So…keep on going man! Though can “see” that you 输得ä¸ç”˜æ„¿….输得ä¸æ¸…ä¸æ¥š.

I think you are utmost talented! (Practically you should win for every episode) If not, they should get someone who have design-sense that is on par with you. Your designs are ever delightful and professional! Keep up and don feel low anymore! you are so cool.
N/B: Perfectionists will feel low most of the time as they want to be perfect all the time.

You shouldn’t be the contesters, YOU SHOULD BE THE JUDGE! because you are a professional already since you own related business. I agreed that the judges ARE JEALIOUS of you because since some are interior designers. Only Han wei is genuine!
This program really lowered down your status and wasted your skills and gifts.
Your designing and decor power is 10/10 A++.
Anyway both my hubby and I feel that Mark’s design like the nongya guai by using that O piang green! I feel like eating that green table! If he really want to use green, he should also use other FUN colours. But no skill ma, so gasha gasha lor.
The next time, you just ENJOY hosting the program and have fun in decorating contesters house ok? Our eyes are sharp! We can see who is the best! You of course!
Your tu-di very cute, I like him, although he likes to crack jokes, but I can see he is a fun loving person like you. Unlike Mark’s side, the tu-di looks more like “xiao di” and Mark is petty, did not really help him at all but a clown in front of the camera.

I really think you’re doing a superbly good job in everything that you’re doing. and Home decor has been the show that I’ve so fervantly and religiously watched. I think you and mark really make a great pair. your sense of humour never fails to brighten up my day.
sometimes, my friends think it’s weird to idolise you. but I always say proudly that you’re my idol. and one of my friend actually said she admired that fact that you’re so effectively bilingual.

i thought you did great!! although the theme was futuristic, you made it really pleasant and homey =) have always love your design over the other team, for some reason the other team always give me a very “cheap and beng” feeling… no matter how much they try to DIY.
don’t get me wrong, i like mark lee and his team.. just his ideas and works are still abit amateurish compared to yours. only a few rare occasion i’ll pick his over yours.

bryan, my family prefered your design over mark’s for this esp. we feel shocked that the other team won but after going through his design again, maybe his concept is more “liviable” compared to your “clubby-chic” design. nevertheless, i am still prefer yours and your DIY also inspired me to think up of ways to DIY for my place too.
